Meet Stu Wood,
Your Greater Alexandria Real Estate Professional.
I have always had a passion for real estate that was developed at an early age mostly due to Dad and Grandpa buying properties and the excitement that came with making the deal. I serve the Greater Alexandria area in all aspects of real estate including residential, raw land, lake homes, and commercial property. I also have a great passion for this community and what Alexandria has to offer. Living here my whole life, I know the area very well which has proven to be important in helping my clients.
Prior to becoming a licensed realtor, I attended NDSU in pursuit of an engineering degree. I realized this was not my calling and moved back home and purchased my first business at the age of 21. I ran that successfully for 3 years when my real estate dream came back to life. I decided to sell the business and jump into selling real estate full time. It has been an amazing adventure since and I can’t imagine a career in any other business. The feeling of waking up every morning excited to help my clients sell or purchase property just can’t be described with words.
Hobbies I enjoy with my free time include hunting, fishing, biking, my faith, reading a good book and seeking adventures in the outdoors. My amazing wife Maggie is a photographer in Alexandria and I am often reminded by friends that I “married up” or “outkicked my coverage”. I have a son named Dierks who has personality coming out of his ears and a daughter Reeve who has the biggest smile in the world. My kids are my life and I couldn't ask for a better job than being their father.
I pride myself on hard work, honesty and integrity. I promise all of my clients these important attributes throughout the buying or selling process. In 2015, I received The Chairman’s Circle Award which is the highest recognition for volume of closed sales and have each year since. I am a member of the Minnesota Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. I previously served 6 years on the board of Greater Alexandria Area Association and was awarded Realtor of the year in 2016.
